Centre for Autism Services Alberta – Employment Coach (10-Month Contract)

About the Organization
The Centre for Autism Services Alberta (CFASA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to working alongside Autistic people and their families. Since 1997, CFASA has made it its mission to provide Autistic people with meaningful and responsive supports that prioritize each person’s autonomy and equal access to opportunities. Our organization serves Autistic individuals over their lifespan. We make it our practice to listen to the community and co-create supports that meet their needs. We partner with families, communities, schools and workplaces to reduce barriers, so that Autistic people can access the activities and spaces that are important to them. We advocate for authentic inclusion, equality, and Neurodiversity Affirming Supports across all of our programs. What You’ll Do
As an Employment Coach, you will work directly with participants and employers to create successful employment experiences. Your impact will include:
Participant Support & Development
- Assess participants for readiness and suitability for employment services
- Deliver engaging employment readiness training, including:
- Career exploration
- Job skills development
- Provide hands-on job search support, including resume writing and interview preparation
- Coach participants on-the-job to build skills, confidence, and independence
Employer Engagement & Inclusion
- Build relationships with community employers to create meaningful work opportunities
- Educate and support workplaces in becoming more inclusive and accessible
- Balance the needs of both employer and employee to ensure successful placements
- Provide ongoing support to promote long-term employment retention
Program & Administrative Support
- Complete screenings, learning plans, and required documentation
- Support data collection and reporting as required
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in career coaching, recruitment, or employment services
- Minimum 1 year experience working with Autistic individuals
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships with both participants and employers

Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Clear Police Information Check
- Clean Intervention Record Check
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification
