Building Foundations for Learning: Supporting Autistic Students in the Classroom (Pre-K through Grade 6)
About the Workshop:
This workshop is designed to help educators and support staff deepen their understanding of autism and neurodiversity, with a focus on fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Participants will also gain valuable insights into understanding behavior and strategies that support positive outcomes for all students.
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

- 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.: Welcome and Introductions
- 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.: Autism and Neurodiversity
- 10:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Break
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Building Relationships
- 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Lunch (on your own)
- 1:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.: Understanding Behaviour
- 3:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Wrap-up
