Behaviour and Developmental Support agreements are FSCD-funded services that support children under the age of 17 years 11 months. These agreements are typically six-month contracts with one (or two) discipline(s) (Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology or Behaviour), focused on two to three achievable objectives within one behavioural or developmental area.
A Behaviour and Developmental Support agreement is a consultation model that includes:
- Assessment
- Identifying and setting priorities
- Parent and family coaching
- A written plan
- A data collection system
- Coordination with other supports
- Direct intervention (if appropriate)
