research application, and professional development in autism
The Centre for Autism Services Alberta was formed by a group of families in 1997 initially as a research project on best practice in autism supports. Today, the Centre works to provide quality care through evidence-based practice and by attracting and retaining excellent staff.
The Centre
Many Centre staff conduct or are involved in ongoing behavioural science, speech, language and communication, and social science research projects. The Centre partners with different research initiatives through Canadian universities and training sites to provide high-quality care and support.
