Shop, Cook & Learn
Ages 13 to 17

Weekly planning, shopping, and hands-on cooking!

Teens get hands-on experience throughout the entire meal-planning process, from choosing recipes and making grocery lists to budgeting, shopping, and preparing meals together. Along the way, they’ll learn practical kitchen skills, including basic knife skills and safe food preparation, while building independence and confidence.

Most importantly, they’ll have the opportunity to connect with others, make new friends, and have fun along the way.

Each week teens will:

  • Build a shopping list within a grocery budget.
  • Navigate the supermarket and purchase groceries.
  • Learn how to safely use kitchen equipment.
  • Learn about nutrition and the importance of healthy eating.
  • Cook up delicious recipes.

The program will be taking place in the kitchen at our NEW Centre 104 location.
